The September image from the 2007 Calendar, this pen and ink mixed media image is called "Recessive Genes."

A victorian family portrait. I hope everyone notices right away that one of the kids is a fox. The joke is that everyone notices but the dad. My sister came up with the title because she is a genius. Alternate titles include "Ask the Milkman" and "Family Secrets."

This image is not only a print but the original pen and ink image IS FOR SALE. e-mail me right away if interested.

love peace and bazookas D:
SO well drawn, and hilarious as well. =D
very funny and beautifully done:clap::)
:whisper:although it's impossible from scientific point of view to have a child with a fox:giggle: but allright i'm talking like nuts:slow:if we were looking at it from scientific point of view - not very many rabbits wear victorian clothes as well;)
XD I think your the first person who pointed out it was impossible. Shhhhhh...
I was really suprised that you liked some of my pictures! I just recently found your work and i'm now in love with it. <3

oh :) i'm also happy i found your gallery, you make such beautiful illustrations and use lovely vivid lively colours:clap:
:giggle: lol and speaking of genetics thank you for a moment of thinking i must be genius:D it was certainly worthwhile to learn this triffle about genetics in high school to beat all the others who didn't know there can be no offspring in case of two different species, well, there is a mule existing , that's a fact, but a horse and a donkey are very similar species, much closer to each other than a rabbit and a fox, besides poor mules aren't capable of having an offspring, so it's not really a real species, just a hybrid:no:
heh,:idea: it just came to my memory that there is one more "case" of inter-species offspring in a cinema : in Lynch's "Elephant Man" the main hero is a child of a woman and an elephant :faint: but of course it's Lynch's movie, and in Lynch's movies everything is possible and nobody cares for genetics;)
That's adorable! And really funny. I love the linework and the yellowy color that's spread throughout. My favorites are the three small bunny girls on the right. Too cute with their splotchy ears and faces. :D
